Brass Band

Name: Oda
Gender: Male
Age: 18

Oda is an unpleasant boy, said to resemble a frog. Oda knew he was ugly, and as a result was resentful towards the boys in his class who were attractive. He also hates the boys who are tall, as he is quite short himself (5'3"). He also has a disdain for women, and views them as merely tools for producing children. As well as his dislike for most other people, Oda has an aversion to dirt, and in particular, dirty houses.

Oda comes from an extremely wealthy family. His father owns a large food company, which was due to be passed to Oda's brother, upon his death or retirement. Oda views the rest of his classmates, and even his brother, as being vulgar, and he views himself as being far more important than any of them. He excels at playing the violin, but his classmates are unimpressed with his classical music when compared to today's rock music, which makes Oda hate modern music even more. His ambition is to become the conductor of Japan's biggest Symphony Orchestra.

Choir

Name: Uchimura (Goes by Priss)
Gender: Female
Age: 18

Priss was always said to have the voice of an angel. Priss is the lead singer in an up and coming local rock band, she hopes to break away and hit it big but for now she and her band are quite happy touring the local clubs playing live to the so called dregs of society. She puts a lot of soul and effort into her music and, although chooses to vent a lot of her built up aggression through rock music, has an extremely powerful voice.

Priss is a thrill-seeker and thrives upon living life on a knife-edge. Though this doesn't mean to say she's reckless, she has a passion for fast machines, in particular motorbikes, she loves nothing more than burning up the freeway pushing both herself and her bike to the limit, it's almost as if Priss was born to ride.

She is very vocal and loves to hang out with everyone especially the boys. Priss goes for the Ganguro look (consists of bleached hair, a deep tan, both black and white eyeliners, false eyelashes, platform shoes (usually sandals or boots), and brightly colored outfits. Also typical of the "Ganguro Gal" look are cell phones covered with purikura stickers, tie-dyed sarongs, mini-skirts, hibiscus flower hairpins, and lots of bracelets, rings and necklaces) and is stereotyped a slut. Rumor is she had 2 miscarriages while attending school.

Computer Gaming

Name: Kensuke
Gender: Male
Age: 17

Kensuke is a thoughtful and intelligent individual who pays great attention to details, and is also a fanatical war enthusiast intrigued by all things loud and destructive. Unfortunately Kensuke isn't too strong and kind of wimps out in the end. He discover the world of Multi-player Online games and now spends hours being the person he only dream he could of been.

He spends all of his time on the computer so he is a pasty white and extremely thin boy. Kensuke wears glasses with large round lenses that he is always pushing up since there too big for his head. He lives and breaths war games, and is always carrying his handheld with him everywhere he goes.

Kensuke has become an independent sort capable of looking after his own since his mother is dead and his father is away working on important projects for the government. Kensuke has never had a girlfriend and doesn't seem to want one, or never showed any interest to anything other then his games.

Drama

Name: Kaido
Gender: Female
Age: 17

She's a tall and slender girl that is mainly known by her last name, Kaido. She keeps her bushy hair neatly pulled back with a hair tie and is rather pretty, but would rather focus on acting rather than guys.

Kaido is pleasant, friendly and well organized, she lives with her two sisters whom she assumes responsibility for. Kaido is very dedicated to her job, it's a position which she aims to fulfil to the best of her abilities. She may be a little bossy at times, however, this is only because she wants to set a good example and maintain the smooth running club. She likes to write up scripts and would like to both one day direct and act. She does have a fan girl fetish but no one really sees it. Kaido keeps that quiet but its hinted on in some of the skits she comes up with.

Visual Art

Name: Koizumi
Gender: Male
Age: 18

Koizumi is the undeniably handsome, suave, bisexual leader of the Visual Art club. He's a master of clothing design and is always sketching up ideas for the latest fashion. He makes his own clothes and even sells some of his designs to his fellow peers. Koizumi has a lush for a mother and an adulterer as a father, it's no surprise that he might seem a tad screwed up. Cocky, confidant, and very confusing, Koizumi already gets everything material wise that he could ever possibly want from his dad (somewhat of a bribe to keep his affair with Koizumi's mother secret).

He has no trouble convincing other people around him to give him anything else he desires. Koizumi can paint and sculpt as well though his true calling card is fashion. He is very helpful and understanding of others views and not to overcritical, unless its about fashion. Koizumi is thought to be the most creative in his year and the tall lanky boy is liked by the girls and envied of the boys. His smart mouth has gotten him in trouble before but all Koizumi wants is to be tomorrows biggest fashion designer. Koizumi doesn't do relationship but is known to sleep around. He even tries to seduce his club members of both sexes.

Archery

Name: Wakamiya
Gender: Male
Age: 17

Wakamiya is a traditional boy his hobbies include reading activities, calligraphy, bonsai, and archery. An orphan, he lives with his aunt and uncle and helps in their Western-styled cafe. His father was an abusive drunk and Wakamiya fears that someday he will be like that too. Because of this Wakamiya not only hates violence but comes off as a huge feminist after seeing his mother beat to death by his father. He stands up for all the girls in his club. Any degrading comments that come off as sexist in his club are dealt with strictly.

Wakamiya is very soft spoken, handsome and looks like he walked right out of an edo fairytale. Built well enough that anyone can tell he's not someone to mess with but he is at the same time extremely timid. He might be the main reason most girls are in his archery club. He gets asked out daily but always gently declines saying he has someone waiting for him, which sadly makes him even more wanted. Wakamiya has a problem of losing friends because the girls of their desires only want Wakamiya. He is working hard to get into Tokyo University and has no clue what he'll do after that because he lives for the day.

Flower Arrangement

Name: Yamazaki
Gender: Female
Age: 18

Yamazaki is a country girl that moved from Osaka to Tokyo to attend school. Although she was initially rejected by her peers for her Kansai accent, Yamazaki is determined to make her mark on the school. She joined up with the Flower Arrangement club which was before neglected and not very popular. With her help her Sempai's managed to get the club going and even fun. Yamazaki has always loved the outdoors and her club tries to help decorate the school grounds with flowers every year to bring life back into the school.

Yamazaki is claustrophobic, as she was trapped in her parents' car after a crash that seriously hurt her and her mother, and killed her father. That happened when she was really little but her mother wished to stay in Osaka but wanted Yamazaki to get a Tokyo education. She sent Yamazaki to stay with her aunt. She is a slender, yet hyperactive girl with short hair. As tomboyish as she is Yamazaki appears to be really feminine as well. She was in a serious relationship up until last year with a boy in her hometown. They broke up after he started sleeping with her friend while she was away for school. She goes back to Osaka on all school breaks.

Name: Shindo
Gender: Male
Age: 17

Shindo had only been playing Go now for about four years having only played his first game in the beginning of his eight grade year. Back then Shindo was a well known punk with bleached hair and his ears pierced back in his earlier days, he stole and beat up everyone in sight. His mother and father were poor and his wealthy grandfather wouldn't have anything to do with any of them but Shindo, which he invited to his house quiet a bit. He took Go up quite unintentionally, he happened to be looking for things to sell from his grandfather's attic where he found a Go board. Greedy as he was he challenged his wealthy Grandfather with the bet that if he won he would give Shindo about 20,000 yen. Shindo lost and before he walked away his Grandfather told him if he could ever beat him in a game he'd give Shindo his life savings, that was well enough to buy Shindo whatever he wanted for about ten years. Wanting the easy cash he started to teach himself how to play.

His first year at Gakuin he had the basic's down and tried for the club and after beating a particular hard move his mentor (and at that time the leader of the club) Isumi saw his talent and what surprised him more was the lack of years in experience behind Shindo's playing. Playing better then Isumi, Shindo always did the tournaments as the strongest player, which confused many of his components but he beat them all.

Shindo soon developed a passion for Go and his natural talent was recognized by all. At the end of his first year Shindo tried to beat his Grandfather again but lost that time as well. It was a close and Shindo was told to come back at the end of his second year and try again, he would be ready then. Sadly his grandfather died in the middle of his second year before Shindo could challenge him again. This upset him greatly and he left the club but a few months later he was back. In his Grandfathers will it said Shindo would inherit everything after he won his first professional game. It wasn't about the money anymore though, Hikaru just wanted to show everyone he could do it. Now the club leader in his final year at Gakuin he makes sure his team kill in all the tournaments as he makes his way to the top. He is single and not really looking.

Origami

Name: Temrai
Gender: Female
Age: 18

Temrai is the oldest of three, having two younger brothers. She can be very arrogant and over-confident of her abilities, though she is talented with a gentle study hand she's been known to lash out and break a guys hand for getting to close, or giving a female a fat lip for talking to much. Temrai always carries around a fan which she smacks idiots with whenever they start to get on her nerves. She has demonstrated herself to be a keen analyst and a genius. She is generally caring, if crude, toward her club members she keeps with her a tree of a thousand paper cranes if not to show off her skills.

Temrai even mastered making a crane out of a paper only 2 cm by 2 cm and now is trying for 1. It might be because of her brothers but she has little tolerance for ignorant boys. She was on the verge of being kicked out for fighting during her earlier years but now seemed to mellow out. This could be because no one will mess with her since her reputation is so bad. She hates Ichiro Toriyama and the feeling is mutual and will bad talk him regularly in club meetings. Temrai has dark hair and though she isn't heavyset she could take on a boy easily she beautiful but always wears a scrawl on her face. She is currently dating another female student that is also a senior named Hino (Tea Ceremony's club leader).

Shogi

Name: Kaga
Gender: Male
Age: 19 (was held back a year)

President of Gakuin's Sogi club, Kaga absolutely hates Go. When he was younger his father forbade him from playing Shogi and forced him to play Go. Kaga was not to sure why his dad was obsessed with Go but no matter how hard he tried he could never please the old man. Kaga was good but he could never be number one and usually got stuck in second place. He kept playing though, while keeping a completely detached attitude towards the game, and secretly playing Shogi at home on his computer to pass the time.

Being unhappy at home Kaga became more of a bully then anything. At night he would go vandalize things and come back home to his dad's screams and fists. After failing his exam to the High School of his father's choice he settled in at Gakuin. After getting beat in his second year by the first year Shindo (the now current Go club leader) Kaga gives up when he finds out the kid was a rookie. Skipping so much class he ended up having to repeat his second year. At this time his mother, who divorced his father and left Kaga with him when he was about four, came back and took him in. Now free Kaga joined the Shogi club when he came back. He is always seen holding a fan that says 'Shogi King' on it while he is competing and will even help out the Go team when he needs too. Both people in the Shogi world and Go world know him as the Shogi King.

Kaga and Shindo are now close friends and even though he straitened up a bit you can always find him on the roof smoking from time to time. He is extremely competitive with all the other clubs when it comes to recruiting seeing as Shogi is the best club. He is rough and a bit scary but is dating a rather nice older girl, and she is a freshmen at Tokyo U.

Tea Ceremony

Name: Hino
Gender: Female
Age: 17

Hino is a bit sarcastic and distant, and she is only really close to Temrai (Origami club leader). Although high school girls working as miko are not too unusual, Hino's supposed psychic powers have caused her to be labeled a weirdo by her classmates. Its been told that she can use ofuda to seal or dispel evil, and sometimes suffers from vivid dreams. She also practices pyromancy, possibly as part of her shrine duties.

Hino is thought to be very beautiful and has a lot of admirers. Though she has these admirers, she remains distant and does not want to have anything to do with boys because of her relationship with her father. Her mother died when she was little, and her father is a very busy politician that does not have time to meet with Hino. For a long time she did not date anyone because she felt that if she tried to date a man, she would try to change them to alter her needs.

Hino had once been in love with a boy before. Kaidou was her father's secretary. Hino and Kaidou were very good friends, and at one point she even fancied herself in love with him, but Kaidou suddenly got engaged to the daughter of another politician. When Hino confronted the man, he said it was because Hino's father arranged the engagement, but she sees through him and says he loves that girl since, were this true, Hino would've become his fiancée. They shared a kiss, and remained friends afterwards. Because her father is always gone Hino now lives with her kind, if lecherous, grandfather (a priest at the shrine) so as not to be lonely.

Hino became even more icy to men in her high school years and only started hanging out with the girls. In school she befriend Temrai and the two was unstoppable. They always looked out for each other and it was no surprise when the two started dating during her second year. She is very elegant during her tea ceremony and still catches the eyes of a lot of men, and even women. Her hobby is fortune-telling but she only does this with people that are close to her. With little patience the members in her club will receive a tongue lashing if they don't catch on fast.
